About the trade show

METPACK 2029 is an international trade fair for metal packaging, taking place in Essen from 12 to 15 June 2029. Manufacturers and suppliers present solutions for producing, finishing, printing, coating and recycling cans, tubes, drums and closures. The range includes beverage cans, food cans, three-piece aerosol cans, two-piece cans, combination cans, technical cans, general line cans and canisters.

The fair is aimed at professionals from the metal packaging industry. In 2026 it counted 6,585 visitors; in 2023 there were 305 exhibitors and 6,290 visitors. The organiser is Messe Essen GmbH. METPACK was founded in 1992 and takes place every three years.
