About the trade show

IPM ESSEN 2027 is the International Plant Fair, a trade fair for horticulture, and takes place in Essen from 26 to 29 January 2027. It covers the chain from plant production through technology and floristry to equipment for the point of sale. On show are green and nursery plants, indoor plants, bedding and balcony plants, cut flowers, perennials, woody plants, container plants and spring bloomers, plus hydroculture, propagation pots, plant containers and climate-resilient species for cities.

The fair is aimed at trade visitors from horticulture, tree nurseries, floristry and retail. In 2026 it counted 1,476 exhibitors and 40,000 visitors. The organiser is Messe Essen GmbH. IPM ESSEN was founded in 1983 and takes place every year.
