About the trade show

IFAT Munich 2028 is an international trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management, taking place in Munich from 29 May to 1 June 2028. On show are solutions for waste management and the circular economy, municipal technology as well as water and well construction. Further topics include textile recycling, the textile circular economy and hydrogen in the circular economy.

The fair is aimed at trade visitors from municipalities, the waste and water industries and manufacturing. In 2026 it counted 3,400 exhibitors and 140,130 visitors. The organiser is Messe München GmbH. IFAT Munich was founded in 1966 and takes place every two years.
