About the trade show
SPS 2026 is an international trade fair for smart and digital automation, taking place in Nuremberg from 24 to 26 November 2026. Formerly known as SPS IPC Drives, the fair now carries the name SPS – Smart Production Solutions. Exhibitors show single components as well as complete systems, from sensor technology and drive technology to factory automation and industrial AI. The Cyber Resilience Act is a further topic.
SPS is aimed at trade visitors from the automation industry, such as engineers and technology decision-makers. In 2025 it counted 1,175 exhibitors and 55,935 visitors. The organiser is Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, a subsidiary of the Messe Frankfurt Group. SPS was founded in 1990 and takes place every year.
