About the trade show

iaf 2029, the International Exhibition for Track Technology, is a trade fair for railway track construction and takes place in Münster from 29 to 31 May 2029. Exhibitors present track construction machinery, superstructure components, rails and switches. Welding and surveying technology, maintenance systems and recycling technologies for the track complete the range. Machines are also shown in live demonstrations.

The fair is aimed at trade visitors from track construction, rail infrastructure and railway operations. In 2025 it counted 200 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors. The organiser is VDEI-Service GmbH, a subsidiary of the Association of German Railway Engineers (VDEI). iaf takes place every four years.
