The exhibition is divided into five areas: travel, caravanning & camping, bicycles, water sports and outdoor & fitness. On show are bicycles and accessories, kayaks, SUP boards and diving equipment, together with cycling holidays, cruises and adventure travel. Stages and areas for trying out products complete the range.
The fair is aimed at trade visitors from the travel, sports and leisure industries and at a travel and sports minded public from southern Germany and neighbouring regions. In 2025 it counted 950 exhibitors and 122,295 visitors. The organiser is Messe München GmbH. f.re.e takes place every year.
